Frequently Asked Questions
What happened to E3Recap.com?
As the E3 Expo has become less relevant each year, we've had to adapt and evolve the website into a more generalized version of the original. The name change allows us to be inclusive of all the new showcases and events that have sprung up in the absence of the E3 Expo.
You can still view all the previous years of the website below:
What is this website about?
This website was first created to cover the E3 Expo 2014. As avid gamers, we found it frustrating to have to sift through various gaming sites, posts, news articles to try to catch up on all the announcements taking place.
We hope we can help you get all of that information from all the summer events in one convenient place and save you time.
Why is there more than one 'game card' for certain games?
If you notice a game shows up multiple times through out the grid, that is not a mistake. Tiles are not added to the site based by game but rather by chronological order of content. Some games appear through out multiple showscases and often with new trailers, each time a game is shown at a separate event it will recieve its own card.
We chose to do it this way because we want to ensure that people can sort the tiles by Newest to see the latest game announcement.
Do the search field and filter options work in tandem?
Yes. You can narrow down results with the filters and then use the search field to go even further.
What do the icons mean?
The icons are there to add context to each announcement and help users decide if they are interested in the game. Icons Legend:
- Singleplayer Muliplayer Co-Op Exclusive DLC Game Update Early Access Xbox Game Pass VR Experience Steam Deck Verified Free To Play
Why is *insert game trailer here* not on the website?
There are lots of announcements and videos being released throughout this time period and we will not catch all of them. If you find something missing just let us know at info@gamesrecap.io or tweet us @gamesrecapio.
I found a bug on the site. Can you fix it?
We will try our best to optimize the website and fix bugs. If you find a bug, please email us at info@gamesrecap.io. Please be as descriptive as possible as to what device/browser/conditions you are experiencing the bug in.
Cool site but I think it can be even better if there was...
We are always open to feedback and criticism. Send your thoughts on what you think could be added or handled better to info@gamesrecap.io or tweet at us @gamesrecapio.
Why do you have ads on your site?
This has been mostly a passion project and a way for us to learn and refine our web development skills. We use ads as a way to offset the server expenses and man hours needed to maintain the website each year so that it can remain self-sustaining.
